Hypopressives:Core Pressure, Posture & Pelvic Floor Training

Hypopressives - What are they?

Hypopressives are a specialised training method focused on improving pressure balance within the core through breathing techniques, posture work, and the hypopressive apnoea (breath-hold technique).

Rather than traditional core exercises, this method works by reducing intra-abdominal pressure, helping to support the pelvic floor, improve postural alignment, and enhance overall core function.

It is a gentle but highly effective system that teaches your body how to work more efficiently from the inside out.

What the programme includes

This is an 8-week face-to-face programme, with one-hour sessions each week at my studio in Surrey.


Each session builds progressively, helping you safely develop the technique and confidence needed to practise Hypopressives effectively.

You will receive:

  • Step-by-step guided instruction each week
  • A clear progression from foundational breathing to full practice
  • Personal support and correction throughout
  • A detailed course booklet to support your learning
  • Optional session recordings so you can revisit the techniques at home

This programme is designed to be practical, supportive, and easy to integrate into your weekly routine.

How the 8 weeks are structured

Each session is an hour long 

Weeks 1–4 focus on learning the foundations:

  • Breathing mechanics
  • Posture and alignment
  • Core pressure awareness
  • Introduction to the hypopressive apnoea

Weeks 5–8 focus on progression and integration:

  • Advancing positions and techniques
  • Building control and confidence
  • Linking breath, posture, and movement
  • Developing a sustainable home practice
